Matt competed for a shot at the US championship tonight. Orland Jordan and JBL got put out of the picture near the end of the match, leaving Chris Beniot and Matt. Matt went for a pin, but Chris kicked out, Matt then gives the neck breaker to Benoit, he then goes for the side blaster on Beniot, but Beniot reverse and gets the cross face e on Matt. Matt's forced to tap out.
Later on Matt is seen in the corridor nursing his hurt arm. MNM come past and make fun of Matt. Melina then lets her boys go on ahead and she sits down with him and tells him he should be on a winning team like MNM. Matt asks her what she means and she replies, "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". She then walks off leaving Matt with a puzzled look on his face.
